NOW CREATE A NEW PAGE TITLED WEEK 1: WEBSITE INTERACTIVITY
On this page you will answer questions, provide links to sites you visit and post an image from each site. Read the instructions below.
WEBSITE FUNCTIONALITY & INTERACTIVITY
1. What is the definition of interactivity in terms of websites as talked about in Chapter 1 of our textbook? If the book has not arrived in the bookstore, go ahead and google the topic for an explanation of what interactivity means in terms of a website.
2. Go to the WAYBACK MACHINE at http://www.web.archive.org/web/web/php an interesting site that is archiving the Internet to preserve our electronic history.
In the search field type in a name of a company. (Example: http://mcdonalds.com) then click TAKE ME BACK.
Now click on the earliest year on the bar graph at the top of the page. (McDonald's is 1996). Look at the year calendar and click on any date that appears with a blue circle. This takes you to a screen shot of the McDonald's website on that date/year. Click on all links to explore the site as it existed then.
These were touted as good examples of websites in their day, whoa...these are from only 15 years ago at the most. (Ok, for some of you that means when you were only 3 years old but for the oldsters here that sure doesn't seem too long ago!)
B. Now click go back to website graph and click on the latest year listed for the website and select one date. (example: McDonald's, July 1, 2011.) Give us the day and year you are reviewing and the web link to the page (type the web address onto your page, copy it then select the LINK icon in the menu blue bar, the 8th item with a link image) and paste it in the address).
Include an image from both versions of the site on your assignment.

Looking at this early version of the site you selected: A. List the Day, Month, Year of the site you are looking at. A. How many pages does it have? Click on all links. List the page titles. B. Is this site interactive as defined by our textbook? How is it interactive? C. Describe the features on this site. (Note: It will take time to load pages. Be patient. Some links may no longer work.). 2.
