ASSIGNMENT: 1.) You are to use 12 photos to tell your story. First read all the info and watch videos on CREATE A SHOT LIST AND STORY BOARD pages under ASSIGNMENTS WEEK 8 on our Weebly site.
You can choose to create either a 12- image SHOT LIST, a written descriptions of each of your photos (one or two sentences). OR create a 12-image STORY BOARD, simple sketches of each image (traditional method used for making a story board shot list for videos and movies), then photograph them and create a STORY BOARD slideshow. POST THE SHOT LIST OR THE STORY BOARD TO YOUR VISUAL STORY PAGE.
2. ) Create the 12 images for your own visual story. Load them in a slideshow using the SLIDESHOW ICON and post on your VISUAL STORY PAGE.
3.) Create a catchy, interesting title for your Visual Story. First read COPYWRITING in Assignments Week 8 to understand how to write titles. Post your Visual Story title underneath your slideshow. it on the Visual Story page.
4.) You will write 250 word script for your story.. Post it underneath your title on your VISUAL STORY page.
5.) You are to record this 250 word story to accompany your visual story. This audio recording can not be longer than 2 minutes.
Another is to recall stories about your family and yourself centered around the theme “Who do you think you are?”
Another possible topic is things that are important to you. You can see what others have done with that idea: http://objectstories.org/
6. Upload your personal VISUAL Story to YouTube. Add tags to your YouTube video (words that describe the categories this video can be searched under, i.e. education; comedy; music, etc.
Post this YouTube video to your VISUAL STORY page as first thing on the page so we can easily find it, right above your slideshow. PLEASE ALSO COPY THE WEB ADDRESS OF YOUR YouTube VIDEO & INCLUDE IT UNDERNEATH YOUR YOUTUBE VIDEO AS A LINK.
We should be able to click on the address of your YouTube video and go directly to YouTube to watch. Why? Because when we watch your video on YouTube’s site instead of on Weebly, we can choose the option to watch your video full screen. This option is not enabled on Weebly and we only get a small viewer screen.
7. Individual Personal Story banner: Create a VISUAL STORY BANNER for a page on your site. NOTE: This banner has to be visually connected to your personal story project.
